नरम और कठोर मिट्टी पर नींव का निर्माण किया प्रकार किया जाना चाहिए ?

नरम मिट्टी पर नींव के निर्माण से बचना चाहिए अथवा मिट्टी को कठोर तथा सुसंबद्ध ( Compact ) बना कर ही निर्माण कार्य करना चाहिए। परंतु कठोर मिट्टी पर नींव किसी भी प्रकार बनाई जा सकती है। बस एक बात का ध्यान रखना चाहिए कि इसके आधार को सीमेंट एवं बजरी अथवा चूने से मज़बूत बनाया जाए और उसको चौड़ाई उपयुक्त हो।

Answer
The construction of foundation on soft soil should be avoided or construction work should be done only after making the soil hard and compact. But any type of foundation can be built on hard soil. Just one thing should be kept in mind that its base should be strengthened with cement and gravel or lime and its width should be suitable.
